The Ska Katz
Genre: Ska, Ska-punk, and Alternative Rock
About: As a greatful tribute to my fav band, I anthropomorphised the 'Inysderz' to create
the 'Ska Katz.' I also created them as general characters for possible use in my comics, stories, or as my website mascots.
Like the Insyderz, the Ska Katz hail from Motor City (Detroit), Michigan; but unlike the Insyderz, the Ska Katz have two female
band members. Okay so it's not an exact copy, but as an artist I need to be a little creative, don't I? (ha-ha) Anyway, I
present to you...the Ska Katz!
Band History: The Ska Katz first began to take shape when friends Nate Serkis (drummer) and
Joe Young (lead vocals), during their sophomore years at Michigan State University, decided to get together and
use their misical talents for God and to just have some fun. They invited their buddies Beau Cartney (bass) and Mike Royce (trombone)
to join them. Beau, who's family had been long-time freinds of the Roriguez family suggested that Julie Rodriguez (trumpet)
should be a part of the band. Beau and Julie had known each other since second grade so he needed only to introduce
Julie to the rest of the band. Naturally, Julie insisted that her room mate and best friend Tasha Wasil (primary electric
guitar) come along for the ride. Thus the Ska Katz were born. Unfortunately only the very next year, Mike transfered
to a different college and the Ska Katz were temporarily left without a regular trombone player. Their luck soon changed when
they met and befriended a young chinese exchange student, Chan Yi Kim (trombone). They asked Chan Yi to join the
Ska Katz and he gratefuly accepted, completing the band once again.

The Flying Squirrels
Genere: Ska and Swing
About:There's tons of squirrels on the campus at Ouachita Baptist University where I studied for one
semester. They even far outnumber the students! Well I was listening to this song recently called "Nun Baseball" by the
"Stomach Monkeys" (a Christian Skacore band) and I got to thinking: "Wow this song is so funny!" and as I thought
about that, I thought about what it would be like if a bunch of squirrels were playing the song. "Eureka! I think I'll make
up an anthropomorphic band based on this song!" and so the Flying Squirrels were born.
